Just over a year ago, Stephanie and her family relocated to beautiful and diverse Chile. This marks her 4th continental move; she has lived throughout her native United States, Japan, and Italy. (This international experience has led to quite a few travel opportunities! A selection can be viewed on the website). Her residential studio is located in Las Condes, complete with full hair-and-makeup services and wardrobe styling.

“As Far as the Eye Can See” – 85, sealed
The day after International Photographic Competition (IPC) is always my favorite Social Media day of the year. I love sharing in my friends’ excitement as they (we) share this year’s achievements, accolades, new degrees, sob stories, sorrow-79’s, and Loans during/after the biggest competition of the year. My Facebook feed is stuffed full of my photographer family’s outstanding achievements this year.
The new 2017 school year is back in full swing in Chile and this past weekend we were honored to participate in the Back To School Fair at The International School Nido de Aguilas.
The event featured food trucks, an organic market, local services in Las Condes and Lo Barnechea and a raffle to benefit the school’s financial aid program. Relaxing massages provided from Sala Ananta, a free trial to experience EMS Revolution, and lots of sweet goodies being sold by the students to benefit the fundraiser.
Have you seen our very first studio magazine yet? Fully digital and easy to navigate – it must be 2017!
The magazine, “Contemporary Portraiture”, was created by Stephanie Millner herself. Not only is she a talented photographer but also a graphic designer with an eye for detail and a drive for excellence – and it shows.
Please give a warm welcome to Natalie, our new studio manager!
I met Natalie a few weeks ago during her fantastic glamour shoot (clearly, she’s used to modeling!) and knew she’d be a great addition to the studio when she allowed me to tape huge pieces of tissue paper directly to her to make a high fashion dress.
I wanted to share this beautiful article from the Sydney Morning Herald.
So often, I hear from my clients that it’s been long – too long – since their last family portrait. Some say 5 years, 10, 20… and some, never. So many pictures of the kids, the pets, of dad – but rarely do moms get out from behind the camera to be in portraits with their families.
In April, I ended up getting really backed up with work, and sort of neglected posting anything here for fear of not giving anyone enough time on the blog. Unfortunately, that turned into not posting ANYTHING on the blog for… well, a long time, really. So I wanted to right that wrong and post some older sessions that just haven’t been featured yet.
This session is of Jenn’s family. Jenn is one of my fabulous brides from a few years ago, back in Virginia. 🙂 It was so great to see her and her fantastic family again.
One of the whole gang
This one involved giant bean-bag chairs!
Something a little more classic…
A very cute one of mom & dad together!
The happy couple (my favorite. Jenn, you NEED this one!)
Mike finds a garden gnome…
My personal favorite of everyone together.
…but this is a close second. I’m not overly decisive obviously.
Just getting around to posting this from about… er… 3 weeks ago? Hey, considering my track record, that’s not that bad! Seeing as I have 3 shoots I keep *meaning* to post from six months ago… Anyway, these are two photographers from Rome – well, one’s in Rome, and the other is from Rome, but works in California (apparently we traded spots.) We spent the day photographing in Matteo’s absolutely gorgeous studio – I’m so jealous. Was teaching a little pet photography, so here are some updated Hailey-beast photos, too.
Hailey hammin’ it up.
My favorite of Hailey – she’s just such a diva with a camera. (It’s frightening really.)
Riccardo, just chillin out…
Riccardo and Matteo doing the “Roman Thing”… Hand gestures.
My favorite. Too funny. Yes this is what photographers do when trapped in a studio for too long.
The Blue-Steel look… (If you’ve never seen Zoolander, you must!)
Last month we donated a large print collection – valued at over $1000 – to the American Embassy’s charity auction. (Very proud to say it went for a pretty high sum to a VERY nice family – looking forward to doing the session next month when school is out!) We also photographed the auction itself as well as a quick “photo booth” type setup of everyone dressed up all pretty-like. Here are just a few from the evening’s festivities.
Oh, and if you’re wondering, we won a new vacuum cleaner, the FBI prize-package (which was essentially a Tee-shirt that said “FBI” and some bottles of wine), and painting lessons – which should be very fun!
Nice couple from the Embassy
Some friends hanging out!
Love this one – married 30 years, I believe he’d said!
The auctioneer wearing the prize he was auctioning off…
I don’t know their names but I am pretty sure she works at the commissary…
Amazing fruit custard parfait things. I need to find these again. Yes, that’s right… NEED.
Some friends hanging out on the back patio
A $800 bottle of wine. I think it’s a white wine with a colored bottle, but I don’t really know. Anyway, it’s one of the prizes donated to the auction.
